CDH presents its Fall staff education program

The Centre for Digital Humanities (CDH) is pleased to announce its education program for the upcoming Fall 2023, catering all staff and students of the Faculty of Humanities at Utrecht University.

Staff education program

We offer a diverse range of workshops and lectures, covering digital humanities (DH) topics such as network visualization, Python for beginners, an introduction to ChatGPT, automatic speech and handwriting recognition, data ethics, and much more. Teachers attending CDH courses lasting 3 hours or more will be compensated in terms of DCU. Take a look at our comprehensive course offering here. (Kindly note that priority will be given to staff and students of the Faculty of Humanities of Utrecht University in our workshops, while our lectures are open to everyone.)

Consultancy sessions

Do you require guidance or advice on DH methods? You can sign up for a brainstorming session with our strategic advisor Antal van den Bosch and developers of the CDH Research Software Lab. Or you can participate in meetings facilitated by statistical advisor Kirsten Schutter, where humanities researchers present their (ideally still vague) quantitative research design to foster mutual learning. And you are always welcome to drop by our weekly DH Walk-in Hours, resuming on September 7th, 2023.

Small Grants Program

Furthermore, we provide two ongoing Small Grants Programs with the objective of integrating DH methods into BA and MA courses, as well as enhancing the DH skills of teachers.

Our team looks forward to meeting you in one of our coursesconsultancy sessions or weekly Walk-in Hours!
