Research software and coding inquiries
Are you in need of guidance regarding software solutions for your research? Are you interested in exploring available tools or discussing the possibility of developing custom software? 5 October 2023: Brainstorm Session – How to successfully integrate computational methods in your research design & funding proposal
Do you have questions on the Digital Humanities aspects of your research proposal? How do you properly integrate computational methods in your research design and funding application? What are suitable and proven computational methods to work with? During a brainstorm session on 5 October with CDH strategic advisor Antal van den Bosch and scientific developers from the Research Software Lab, you can ask all your (technical) questions on Digital Humanities and computational methods.
28 September & 23 November 2023: Quantitative Research Design Meeting
Do you struggle with the quantitative component of your research design? Statistical advisor Kirsten Schutter is organizing two meetings – on 28 September and 23 November 2023 – in which (junior and experienced) researchers from the Faculty of Humanities can present and discuss their ideas in order to learn from each other.

Are you seeking guidance on the technical aspect of your funding proposal? The Centre for Digital Humanities collaborates closely with the Research Support Office (RSO) at Utrecht University to assist researchers in locating and securing external funding for their projects. To increase your chances of success, our experts can offer advice on the viability of your computational and data-driven methods and assist with formulating the technical paragraphs of your application. Additionally, we can provide you with information on data management plans, FAIR principles, and software lifecycle management.
Digital Humanities Walk-in Hours
Are you seeking assistance with research software, digital sources, programming, digitization, data management, privacy, or statistics? Are you new to the field of digital humanities and would you appreciate expert guidance on getting started? We invite all humanities staff and students to join our weekly Digital Humanities Walk-in Hours, held every Thursday from 14:00 to 15:00 hrs. Visit us during this dedicated time to have your questions answered and receive personalized support.
