This workshop is a follow-up session to the workshop Data exploration toolkit for cultural data organized by the Centre for Digital Humanities (CDH) and Utrecht University Library (UB). Join us for a hands-on practical session designed to provide experience in preprocessing and analysing cultural and historical data. Facilitated by Bárbara Romero Ferron and Stefano Rapisarda, this one-hour follow-up session focuses on applying the concepts learned in the previous workshop to real-world datasets.

Follow-up

During this hour, you will have the opportunity to bring your own study cases and work on your own datasets. The information and collection specialists at Utrecht University Library will guide you through data collection, organization, cleaning, and normalization for your specific case. They will also assist in formulating research strategies, discussing data management options, and providing consultation for possible analyses.

During this practical session, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss challenges, gaining a deeper understanding of data-driven research. This session is ideal for those looking to enhance their data analysis skills and uncover new insights in their research.

We look forward to helping you navigate the complexities of working with cultural and historical data.

Level

This workshop is a follow-up session to the ‘Data exploration toolkit for cultural data‘ workshop on Monday, 7 October. Both workshops will be in English.
