DH Walk-in Hours: last session on December 14, resuming on January 25

Do you have a question related to digital humanities? The final Digital Humanities (DH) Walk-in Hour of 2023 will be held on Thursday, December 14^th. We will resume these weekly consultation sessions on January 25^th, 2024.

During the Walk-in Hours, open to all humanities staff and students, our advisory team will be available to address a wide range of digital humanities questions, catering to both beginners as advanced level. The advisory team includes a scientific developer from the CDH Research Software Lab, a member from Research Data Management (RDM) Support and a DH specialist from the University Library. 

Feel free to seek guidance on topics such as:

• Analyzing data with R or Python.
• Creating and sharing datasets, including data security.
• The technical component of your research (funding) proposal.
• Finding appropriate existing research software, or the development of new tailor-made applications.
• Optimizing your self-written code.
• Acquiring, archiving, and accessing qualitative and quantitative data.
• Using digital humanities methods in education.
• Automatic optical character or handwriting recognition.
• Digitized full-text corpora and Linked Open Data.
• Your quantitative research design, including what methods and statistical analysis to use.

When?

Every Thursday from 14:00 to 15:00 hrs, starting from January 25th to June 6^th, 2024. (Except for Hemelvaartsdag on May 9^th, 2024.)
