Call to Action

Now accepting submissions: NWO Open Science & HAI funding calls

We’d like to bring your attention to two recently opened calls: the Open Science Fund 2023 call offers an opportunity to propose grants of up to €50.000, dedicated to supporting projects aimed at implementing and advancing open science practices. NWO aims to encourage open science by providing incentives and rewards to researchers who are already leading or wish to lead in this movement. There are very few restrictions on the types of costs that can be covered by this call. For example, software development is among the possible options. The submission deadline is September 26, 2023.

If you are involved in collaborative interdisciplinary research in the field of human-centered artificial intelligence, or if you have plans to do so, you might find the final call of the first term by UU Focus Area Human-centered AI interesting. Researchers can apply for grants of up to €20.000 to enhance existing collaborations. There are also grants available for smaller projects, with amounts of up to €4.000, as well as grants of up to €8.000 for preparing a research proposal. The deadline for submissions is September 8th.

Do you need assistance with drafting your application? The CDH Research Software Lab can help with the digital aspects of your proposal and can provide development support as well. Feel free to reach out at CDH@uu.nl.
