ArtLab is an interdisciplinary research and teaching hub that brings together the humanities and sciences to research, teach, discover, and engage with art, cultural heritage, and historical materials and techniques. It combines material and digital methods in a single space, with a focus on learning by making, making it a unique initiative both in the Netherlands and internationally.

ArtLab supports a wide range of projects, from digital capture and analysis to immersive interaction with cultural heritage objects or sites, research into material techniques, such as ceramics glazes, dyes, painting materials; to finding alternatives to our use of plastics.
