Upcoming Data School workshops for humanities staff & students
Are you a staff member or student at the Faculty of Humanities at Utrecht University (UU)? Then this is your chance to join a free workshop hosted by digital humanities (DH) experts from the Data School team!
As part of the CDH Education Programme, we are organising introductory workshops on data ethics, network visualisation and qualitative analysis. These workshops are entry-level and require a relatively modest time investment to take your first steps into the world of digital humanities or refine your existing skills.
Data School investigates how big data and AI affect citizenship and democracy, and how public management transforms. Data School researchers and experts are working on cutting-edge projects that are shaping the future of fields such as social media research and digital ethics, with a commitment to produce impactful research that informs policy and practice.
These three upcoming workshops with Data School instructors still have a few spots available for UU humanities staff & students:
- Thursday, 21 November: Introduction to Data Ethics
- Monday, 25 November: Network visualization – introductory Gephi/Python workshop (with co-host from the CDH Research Software Lab)
- Monday, 2 December: Introduction to NVivo (extra edition due to the popularity of this workshop)
All three workshops will take place in the Digital Humanities Workspace, located in the University Library City Centre, Drift 27, 3512 BR Utrecht (Room 0.32).
