CDH workshop: Analyse and visualise humanities data with nodegoat
Join us for this introductory workshop about nodegoat, a web-based research environment for the humanities. Nodegoat allows scholars to build datasets based on their own data model and offers relational modes of analysis with spatial and chronological forms of contextualisation. Instructors for this workshop will be Geert Kessels and Pim van Bree, both nodegoat developers at LAB1100.
Practical information
This workshop will take place on Friday, 28 March 2025, from 14.00 to 17.00 hours in room 0.21 of the Utrecht University Library, City Centre (Drift 27, Utrecht). Admission is free.

15.00 Learn how to enter geographical data into nodegoat
15.45 Break
16.00 Learn how to enter relational data into nodegoat
16.30 Learn how to conceptualise a data model
16.45 Learn how to implement a data model in nodegoat
17.00 End of workshop
Level
No prior experience with nodegoat is required. The workshop will be in English.
Preparation
Participants should bring their own laptops. No preparation is necessary for this workshop. Feel free to bring your research questions and/or dataset to be used during the workshop. You can also start a project before the workshop and attend the workshop to ask questions about it: go to www.nodegoat.net/requestaccount to get started.
