UU Symposium on alternative forms of assessment in the age of AI
This UU-staff only symposium is organised by the Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning (CAT). Participants are invited to explore how research on assessment practices in higher education is evolving in response to technological developments and the growing need for meaningful, future-focused evaluation.
The programme features two keynote lectures, each followed by public debate. Lecturers are Kelly Beekman, Professor of Techology-enhanced assessment at Fontys University of Applied Sciences and Felienne Hermans, Professor of Didactics of Computer Sciences at the VU. The day will be concluded by two discussants sharing key takeaways and their own perspectives.
This symposium is held on Thursday 18 September, from 12:30 to 17:00 hours, with drinks and informal conversation until 18:00, in the Grand Café of the Vening Meinesz building A.
