Our brand-new Spring 2026 Training Programme offers a range of exciting new workshops and lectures, including Qualtrics, Small Language Models, and AI & investigative journalism.
Whether you are taking your first steps in the digital humanities or looking to deepen your expertise, our free workshops and lectures provide fresh perspectives and hands-on learning opportunities.
This spring’s programme includes:
- AI in Education series by Annette Markham & Team – back by popular demand
- Lecture & demo on Olifant by Antal van den Bosch: an efficient, and eco-friendly approach to Large Language Models
- Workshop on Small Language Models with Jenny Chan, Maxigas and Annette Markham
- AI & investigative journalism by Joris Veerbeek, based on his work for De Groene Amsterdammer
- Python in four days, hosted by our Research Software Lab
- Lecture on state-tech relations in an age of AI by Lina Dencik, hosted by Fabian Ferrari
- Getting started with Qualtrics with Kirsten Schutter and Tijmen Baarda.
Some sessions are open to all, while others are reserved for staff and students from the Faculty of Humanities and other UU faculties. We look forward to welcoming you in one – or several – of these workshops and lectures.
