Data School at Utrecht Science Week
On 2 October, Data School will feature in the Utrecht Science Week programme to share insights from years of experience in building collaborating between academia and external partners.
From 4:00 to 5:40 pm, Data School will host an interactive session on working with sectors such as journalism, government, NGOs, and commercial organisations. Highlights include Joris Veerbeek presenting Fighting Fire with Fire – on using AI in investigative journalism – and Julia Straatman pitching Performance Review for AI, a tool to help for government and industry partners to supervise AI systems.
Attendees will be invited to join the conversation, and explore questions such as: How do you balance the needs of researchers with the priorities of external partners? And what are the key ingredients for a successful partnership?
Utrecht Science Week runs from 26 September to 5 October 2025, offering a diverse programme of lectures, workshops, tours, and interviews in and around Utrecht Science Park.
