This entry level course in Python for teachers and researchers of the Faculty of Humanities consists of two hands-on training days. The course will be provided by Julian Gonggrijp and Jelte van Boheemen, scientific developers of the Digital Humanities Lab.

Due to the great interest in the previous training, we are repeating this Python course. The training is designed to teach you the foundations in order to write simple programs in Python using the most common structures. No previous programming experience is needed.

Admission is free, but the number of participants is limited, so please register as soon as possible (first come, first served). If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration by sending an email to CDH@uu.nl, so another participant can take your place. You will be asked to do some preparations in advance.

Please note: the Centre for Digital Humanities aims to promote digital literacy amongst staff-members and therefore compensates attendance at these courses in terms of DCU (22 hours = 1 DCU). The DCUs will be automatically settled with your department at the end of the course.
